[DX] Asia AM logs + other nice catches

Looks like autumn, also on the bands. AM was 
highlighted by India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka 
last week. 

QTH this time: Jalasjärvi, Western Finland.
Rx: Racal RA-1792, Yaesu FRG-100.
wires: 700 m 100 grad, 500 m 180 grad, 
500 m 270 grad, 700 m 290 grad.

The greatest hits:

AFRICA

1377 25.8. 1828- TANZANIA: R Free Africa, Mwanza. 
This station has had indeed some of its best moments 
this summer. Often over France with a great signal.

1386 29.8. 2214- GUINEA: R Rurale, Labé. 

ASIA

621 29.8. 1730 INDIA: AIR Patna. No local ID from 
here. Just quickly noted during Delhi news, along 
with 774 Shimla, 882 Imphal, 909 Gorakhpur, and
990 Jammu etc. 

747 29.8. -1741* INDIA: AIR Lucknow. Superior signal.

801 29.8. -1742* INDIA: AIR Jabalpur. 

927 26.8. 1730- PAKISTAN: RP Khairpur. 

1035 28.8. 1750- PAKISTAN: RP Multan. Quite nice 
signal for a moment over Tartto on co-channel! But alas, 
it didn't last too long.

1107 often 1630- AFGHANISTAN: R Afghanistan, Kabul. 
New 400-kW unit seems to be in top condition, but 
how long.

1107 27,28.8. 1641- CHINA: Xinjiang RGD, Urumqi. 
Kazakh language channel. 

1206 28.8. 1728- INDIA: AIR Bhawanipatna.

1242 often -1742* INDIA: AIR Varanasi. More 
or less audible every evening.

1296 every evening 1700- AFGHANISTAN: Azadi R, Kabul. 
VOA Afgan programming, dari & pashto. Funniest moment 
was when the lyrics of country & western song were 
translated into local language by the speaker. Great signal.
BBC sign-on 1927 UTC spoils a bit of the fun.

1341 27.8. 1703- PAKISTAN: RP Bahawalpur. Enjoyable 
listening now that the hell machine known as Mega Radio 
has closed down. Permanently, I hope.

1368 27.8. 1720- INDIA: AIR Delhi. 

1395 often -1740* *0025- INDIA: AIR Bikaner. Often 
heard but local ID is still missing... Must try again!

1494 28.8. 2308- CHINA: UNID. Xinjiang suspected...
