0340 Zulu time ...

I was nabbing them sometime before 0400 on two occasions.

There was a possibility that it might have been a 
CBC Translator   as  the  CBC (with all its budgetary
cutbacks) has been carrying BBC  and DW-Germany
between 1AM and 5AM Their local time ...

THERE WAY come a time when we see MORE & MORE
CBC Broadcasters going OFF THE AIR after Midnight
due to lack of programming and listeners...

PS for the record, the historic CBC Relay in Ucluelet on
540 Khz was always audible during the day from Tofino
but never at night...
additionally KXL Portland on 750Khz was tpyically
the most reliable long-haul ground-wave...
