Hello Folks,
I would like to ask you about a mistery station that, after three 
months, it still remain a mistery for me.
On 23rd December 1996 I could listen to a English language station 
(while I was at Madeira DXP) on 1550 kHz, at 05:59 UTC. In a few 
minutes I thought it was a CANADIAN one (could be CBE, ON) because 
the woman speaking there, but I was not sure (unfortunately I could 
not check paralell frequencies). Anyone a minute later I could hear 
the ID: BBC World Service and later on they start to say name of 
stations: ???BBC Africa, South African....., Radio Three in 
Austria...., etc...
I start to think about BBC-Radio Bristol (UK) but the exact frequency 
was 1550, not 1548. Also some of the announcer when they played music 
after the top of the hour was clearly American (or similar) accent.

Anyone knows if there is any station relayed BBC-WS on 1550 kHz and 
which station is?
