Extremely lucky to get the ID as the signal was poor and suffered from

Jan 4, SEAsian music mixing with AIR talk by woman & man; another Asian
vocal at 1231 with AIR news by woman weakly in the background and
another vocal at 1236. Retuned to talk by man (seemed EE) over/mixing
with woman in CC (AIR having faded); male anncr cont'd 1256 as presumed
V of the Strait, Fuzhou (unable to confirm any parallels) commenced lite
orchestral music  it had brief anmt by woman ahead of telltale 5+1 pips
as 1300. The talk on presumed SLBC cont'd across the hour as the better
of the two signals - fair, but both quickly faded 1305+. SLBC also

with  IS , 0000 with  news) "adhered AM / HCDXers never listen to FMSS!"

enough  to be heard also in  3kHz offset getting rid of the local like

(which is normally 1800*). Weak at first, fair by closedown, with

1827- 6210- CLANDESTINE-  Democratic V. of Iran  *1827  I guess it's
this one that comes on every day with a big carrier followed by what
seems a tape loop of IDs and music, then Middle Eastern programming--but
the audio is almost nonexistent, and there's only a faint het on
scheduled // 5835. At any rate, both signals go off at 1901. ---HILL,

1851- 6866- SOMALIA-  R. Hargeisa in USB 1851-1927*  Finally nailed this
one on Dec. 30 during a period of superb low-band reception from East
Africa. At tune in, emphatic talk by woman or high-voiced man, then
group chanting followed by short announcement and group singing. At
1904, Horn of Africa vocal by woman with choral accompaniment. Followed
with mix of music and brief talks till 1918, when band played march,
suggesting s/off but man resumed talking and continued to talk till
1927, when closedown came without ceremony. Very faint signal at first,
building to almost fair by 1920; harassed throughout by strong het 400
Hz higher, which was nulled fairly effectively through the QF-1A.

with man but didn't catch the context. Fair but QRM'd by Zanzibar

1943- 4760- CLANDESTINE- V. of the Iraqi People  1943*  Running a bit
later than usual 1930-1935v* with orations and martial music; much too
weak even to guess at language. Doesn't come through every day checked.
ID based on recent European reports of this on 4760 around 0300-0400.

2017- 3925- JAPAN-  R. Tampa  *2017  S/on with NSB chimes and woman with
complete ID in Japanese, including callsigns and freqs. Fair and echoey
on this channel; stronger but choppy on // 9595. Had been hoping for
Port Moresby on 3925, but they were back on 4890 with a pretty decent

2031- 3905- INDONESIA- RRI Merauke  2031  Presumed Merauke playing
gentle instrumental followed by lagu with typically prominent bass line;
announcement by woman at 2044 and right back to lagu2. As usual, ham QRM
was relentless.  3905 is a bad freq, virtually never free of traffic

2032- 9535- THAILAND- Radio Thailand, Udon Thani 2032 Male and female
speaker in English. Strong signal on clear frequency, but terrible

2032- 3282.6- MOZAMBIQUE- R. Mozambique, Beira  2032  Heard with music
that ran the gamut: wild native stuff, pop vocals, highlife numbers,
Latin tinged romantic ballads, disco--you name it, mostly segued, though
a couple of short announcements in Portuguese were noted. Voice traffic
came on the freq at exactly 2100 (naturally) and obscured ID, then into
what sounded like relay of news from Maputo. At 2105, chimes, ID for R.
Mozambique, more chimes and back to music. Although the signal wasn't
bad, it was very choppy, like all the signals from East Africa this
afternoon. Still, I' m not complaining, since this one is usually not

2050- 6770- SOMALIA-  R. Mogadishu, V. of the People in USB  2050  Local
vocal, Qur'an, march and off at 2059; weak and very noisy reception. Not
a sign of Hargeisa today or, in fact, any day since Dec. 30. ---HILL,

2120- 3320- SOUTH AFRICA- SABC  2120-2145  "All Night Jazz" program with
nice selection of lite jazz vocals and instrumentals. M announcer in AK.

Eastern music. Strangely, although // 9850 was heard, the presumed

2148- 4959.7- VIETNAM- V O Vietnam, Hanoi (National Network 2)  2148 
Carrier till *2155 with delicate South East Asian instrumental; possible
anthem at 2158. Another musical selection at 2200 faded down as woman
led wakeup exercises in Vietnamese, presumably counting 1 / 2 / 3 / 4
and exhorting listeners to work up a sweat. Listed // 12035 not audible.
Quite choppy but a lot better than the usual faint, unreadable showing.

2156- 4969.5- MALAYSIA- RTM Kota Kinabalu Sabah 2156  Seemingly
instrumental music at tune in, then nothing heard till 2200, when woman
talked till 2203 in what could well have been Malay. Back to music at
2203, then woman at 2207 and music again at 2208. Threshold reception at

2159- 3325- INDONESIA- RRI Palangkaraya  2159-2224 SCI, ID and into
Jakarta news. Choral type singing 2211-2218, then talk by m. Fair.

2205- 3325- INDONESIA- RRI Palangka Raya  2205  Woman in Indo, probably
relay of Jakarta news. Audio level dropped sharply after 2206, when
seemingly local programming featured instrumental number, vocal by
woman, plaintive lagu by man. Easily separable from Kaduna/3326, but
somewhat QRM'd by CHU pips emanating from "suppressed" LSB. Fair at
tune-in, followed past 2215; only a faint het by 2225 recheck. ---HILL,

2220- 15820- ARGENTINA- Radio ?  in USB, 2220-0035, A lot of LA Pops
w/anmnts by W giving TCs. Sev. ads and/or promo blocks. Did get the same
short canned ID by M at 2301 and 0032 sounding like "FM ? da, 95.?
megahertz, su radio a ? ". The word after "FM" sounded similar to
"Florida". It definitely wasn't Rivadavia and didn't appear to be any of
the other Argentines that have been relayed. Is it a new one?? Just a

with quran praise again music afterwards Very good signal  concerning

la estación esta en la frecuencia que corresponde a los
