Re: [HCDX]: 1566 - Nagpur, INDIA

Patrick-

Bill Plum's Stamp Service is sending 12.00 rupees to use as return postage.
For a postcard QSL, I see 7.00 rupees on the two cards I received from New
Delhi in 1998. For a letter I just received direct from Jeypore in November,
there was 14.00 rupees on the envelope.

Registering is more difficult to figure out. I think I received one return
receipt from India and have registered a bunch of reports, to New Delhi and
direct to regional stations. It takes such a long time to get a reply, I
can't tell if they are answering the original report direct to a regional
station, the follow-up I sent to New Delhi, or a report forwarded from the
regional station to New Delhi for verification! Good luck...

In sending reports to Indian stations, what is being used for return
postage now? In sending a tape, should I register the report? That gets
expensive, butI am not sure how good the mail service is in India? Any
help?
