**Eric Bueneman - MO - N0UIHEric@xxxxxxx

WHB's C&W/Farm format will be heard on KMZU at 100.7 FM. They have a 100
kW signal that can be heard into Kansas City from Carrollton.

9/10/99. At 2300 PDT, KXOL cut their music, leaving an OC once again.
The only thing I am hearing here on the West Coast is WQSN with 1on1
Sports. No sign of waco, so they probably are off at Midnight CDT.

***

**Nigel Pimblett - AB - ntp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Heard Waco here earlier last night @2130 MDT with football commentary.
Reception was very poor with lots of KXOL and also T-storm noise, but
did hear several mentions of Waco, and also a KRZI ID. No sign of WMIB
or WQSN at the time. I'm off for 2 weeks holiday now, so any chance for
a better reception will have to wait.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

**Pat Martin - Seaside OR - mwdxer@xxxxxxxxx

KXOL was their usual "blowtorch" here on the Northern coast. The Sports
station was just stronger than usual, but the very high modulation of
KXOL makes it hard to hear anything else under them, even with the ANC-
4.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

**Eric Bueneman - MO - N0UIHEric@xxxxxxx

WTIR-1680 makes it into St. Louis with WJNZ and WTTM nulled. No sign of
WMIB yet, no thanks to WQSN!

***

**Richard Toebe - Concord CA - richtoebe@xxxxxxx

WTIR-1680 must be running 10kW fulltime. I was driving home late Wed.
night and heard WTIR at 10:45pm PLT booming in louder than Colorado on
1690. Even Nina could understand what the announcer was saying, hi! --
she hates it when I DX in the car-- there were clear references to
"TIR", and she was suitably impressed when I told her the location of
the station.

***

**Stephen Hawkins - CA - hawk@xxxxxxxxxx

On 1680 at about 1925pdst/1125edst I can hear NOAA weather radio for the
Orlando Fla area, giving hurricane warnings for the central Fla area.
Any idea who is rebroadcasting it. I listened for about 30 minutes and
it faded up and down but I heard no station ID.

***

**Lynn Hollerman - gmhollerman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

In looking for some updated info on Hurricane Floyd, I tuned to 1680
and heard an NOAA bulletin - IDed as "KIH63" - came in really, really
well here in Lafayette, LA on the van radio as I drove home from a night
class - that ID was at 2139(EDT); then at 2146, another voice (the NOAA
bulletin was read by a computer voice), much weaker, said "WTIR, Winter
Garden, Orlando". And for the first time in weeks, I was able to hear
the beat of the music WBHD plays, behind the FL signals. Has WTIR
stopped their testing?

***

**Charles C Boehnke - HI - kale@xxxxxxxx

WTIR 1680 heard well here in Hawaii at 11:36PM last night (0936 UTC
9/15/99) relaying NOAA weather and local IDs.

Although we've had hints of Asiatic signals before now, this morning
(Sept 10) at 1320UTC showed the first signs of decent audio this season
from the NHK powerhouses. 594, 747, 774 and 828 all delivering poor
through good signals, the latter 3 with EE lessons, the former with JJ
talk.
