[HCDX] Re: [SWL] The REAL Reasons

Robert, (and all)

Robert is a retired United States military person and speaks with obvious pride.
Way too often we Americans forget how this great country came to be and how many
have given their lives to keep it free over the past several centuries. There is
no such thing as a free lunch, you will pay for it with indigestion later! While
our form of government comes under criticism from within, and without, now and
then again, in spite of failings and faults, it works!

At the risk of touching off a debate on personal freedom, I will state my own
opinion.

If you do not wish to salute our flag, sing our national anthem and honor our
veterans, living and deceased, there is nobody making you remain in the United
States of America. You are free to leave, so why stay? I am very grateful for
the freedoms I enjoy in America and I am very proud of the friends of mine who
lost their young lives fighting in the Vietnam war. They did not ask to be
there, but they went to serve their country and to defend the cause of freedom.
They made the ultimate saccrifice for all of us and the absolute least all of us
in America can do on the fourth of July, is to remember what the day is really
about.

Thank you Robert, and ALL of the other veterans, for truly making this the
wonderful place to live that it is. If it were not for your unselfish efforts,
we might be looking back at that place called America, instead of looking
forward to a bright tomorrow.
