SOLAR FLARES  : Active (M-class flares expected, probability >= 50%)
GEOMAGNETISM  : Quiet (A<20 and K<4)
SOLAR PROTONS : Quiet
PREDICTIONS FOR 14 Aug 2003  10CM FLUX: 132 / AP: 019
PREDICTIONS FOR 15 Aug 2003  10CM FLUX: 132 / AP: 013
PREDICTIONS FOR 16 Aug 2003  10CM FLUX: 130 / AP: 007

COMMENT: Geomagnetic conditions are quiet. The solar wind velocity has decayed
to 560 km/s and is slowly decreasing further. For the next days geomagnetic
conditions should remain quiet. Various C-flares have occurred in group 96 (NOAA
0431), the largest one was a long duration C7.2 flare. The emission from group
96 has pushed the X-ray background up to C-level. Therefore we expect several
C-flares with a good chance for an M-flare.
