Do those schoolbooks count also Palau, Solomon Islands and other Pacific 
islands to Asia? Is Australia a continent of its own, or is the continent 
called Australasia? I think you should write to the publisher, because they 
should use or at least mention the most commonly used division, which is to 
have Asia and the Pacific/Oceania separately.

Hi Bjorn,

You are correct about PNG belonging to Oceania. But it might be only
radiowise, because, for example, the (Finnish) geography books belonging to
my 10-, 14-  and 16-yr sons do not recognize Oceania.
To my children, PNG is in (Pacific) Asia.
We collide with terms every day. Some terms meaning this in one occasion are
that in another.
I tend to think as a radio enthusiastic, so PNG is a part of Oceania to me.
