Radio
Ilucán, Cutervo.
Frequency: 5789.8 kHz.
Heard on July 31, 1997.
Recording by Jay Novello, USA.
Comment: Bouncy male vocals with andean pipes, acoustic song
with kid vocals, classic high-altitude songs with plucked
guitars and female vocals. SP-speaking M anncr talked over
the beginning of songs; muffled audio on anncts although music
came through beautifully. 0204 switched from primarily playing
music to preaching, incorporating mentions of things "Peruana",
nonstop until 0224, after which bits of music were incorporated
into the talk. Back to music 0230. Signed off around 0310
with this announcement, exactly as in "LA DX'ing #6": "Senoras
y senores en esta forma llegamos al final de una jornada mas.
Radio Ilucan, voz y sentir del Ande cutervino en los 1470
kHz les agradece su sintonia dispensada. ... Hasta manana
Cutervo, feliz noche Peru." Also heard 1045 with comunicados-type
program in progress, and next two nights as well.
In
RealAudio format.
