Hi:

The normal length of a MW beverage is supposed to be one Wave length.
The bottom end of the band (550 khz), the length is about 1800 feet and
(1600 feet) 900 feet. I use 1500 feet the the East and 900 feet to the
NNW. I have found if you  get over 500 to 600 feet you are going to get
some directional properties. If you can, terminate it though as it will
help, especially if you only have limited room for the beverage.
