[HCDX] DX-pedition log from Finland
DX-PEDITION TO POSIO (LIVOJÄRVI, Finland), close to Arctic Circle, some 50
km from Russian border.
Listeners: Martti Karimies (MKA) & Jorma Mantyla (JM).
RX: Ten Tec Paragon, Icom R8500.
Ant: 2 x Beverages 900 meters North-East and East, 1 x 650 m West.
Eastern Beverages carefully terminated with 460 ohm resistors. Various
resistors tested using cellular phones.
Conditions generally poor to fair. Fine opening to towards Asia/Japan on
Aug 30 and to Australia on Aug 31. Some aussies (729 and 1161) noted many
hours w S3.
