[HCDX] Weekly DX News

Not a whole lot to report.  The Summer thunderstorm pattern has been
continuing.

PAPUA NEW GUINEA  3245, R. Gulf, obviously back on, heard at 1110 weakly.
These were NOT on; 3205, 3220, 3235, 3345, 3325, 3395.  (Valko 10 Sept.)

INDONESIA  3905, RRI Merauke, 1109, News by man ending with nice orchestral
version of "Padamu Negeri" theme which has been used for years as Richard
Lam has recently stated.  I didn't hear the new RRI news theme.  M
announcer with ID and talk for 2 minutes, then into lively Indo Pops.  Weak
and slightly under the PNG.  (Valko 10 Sept.)

PAPUA NEW GUINEA  3905, R. New Ireland, 1106-1120, Woman with local
news/announcements ending with mention of the news and R. New Ireland, long
John Philip Sousa - like fanfare, into childrens chorus.  Mixing with
Merauke and this a little stronger.  At 1115 W3PTC came on asking if the
freq was clear and began calling W2DW.  Guess New Ireland and Merauke
doesn't count.  (Valko 10 Sept.)
